Known for his intimate, often-daring and unabashed look in to the nocturnal world of transgender people, Ms. Match represents the fruit of the Soopakorn’s labour to reveal the little known facets o f much-stigmatised lives of the Kratoeys. More than that, however, is the fact that Soopakorn never once intended to be an all-encompassing chronicler of the lives of the secluded others. Instead of the saturat ed tropes of documenting the exotics, the photographer chose to portra y them as pieces of reflection that reveal his own hidden self.
