SUMMARY:นิทรรศการ \"Made by microwave\"
DESCRIPTION:“MADE BY MICROWAVE”\nSolo Exhibition by Kanith\nThe Ga
llery on the 36 th floor, Pullman Bangkok Hotel G\n4 th March – 21 s
t May 2017\n The Gallery at Pullman Bangkok Hotel G is delighted to pr
esent its latest art exhibition,\n“Made By Microwave” by the creat
ive Thai talent, Kanith. Art lovers can see the work from\n4 th March
 – 21 st May, 2017.\n The collection was inspired by artist’s daily
life which revolves around a traditional\nshophouse and a round Chine
se dining table. For generations, the artist’s family have lit\nince
nse and prayed in many locations around the shophouse. She was told th
at her\nancestors travelled from mainland China in a traditional junk
sailing boat. Today, reunions\nwith family are important and celebrati
ons always include feasting together at the round\ntable. She consider
s this to be very complicated; the opposite to how she sees the world\
nthese days as people prefer to save time and eat convenience food. Th
e act of traditional-\nstyle dining raised questions in Kanith’s min
 d. The work on show at The Gallery explores\nchanging narrative within
the family home and which is better, the round Chinese dining\ntable-
style of eating or microwaved meals.\nKanitharin Thailamthong, also kn
own as Kanith, will host her first solo exhibition, “Made by\nMicrow
ave” at the chic lifestyle hotel. She is a freelance illustrator and
animation artist in\nBangkok. She graduated with a Bachelor Degree in
Computer Arts and Motion Graphics\nfrom Rangsit University and Master
’s Degree in Fine Art from King’s Mongkut University of\nTechnolog
y, Lad Krabang. Her work has been featured in various publications suc
 h as\nSalmon, A Day, The Jam Factory Magazine and more.\nThe opening n
ight is on 4 th March 2017 at The Gallery on the 36 th floor of Pullma
 n Bangkok\nHotel G from 17:00 – 20:00 hrs.\n Don’t miss the chance
to experience the unique artwork of Kanith at Pullman Bangkok Hotel\n
G! The intriguing collection will feature 10 artworks of digital print
  at The Gallery open daily\nfrom 10:00 – 17:00 hrs. Free of charge.\
