  1951), a reclusive artist who was sea-bound by birth in the eastern f
 ishing village in Nakhon Si Thammarat. In Islandscape, he took inspira
 tion from the landscapes of the Phitak island in Chumphon province and
  Phuket island to convey the rapidly changing landscapes of these isla
 nds. His works are powerful expressions of the colors and moods of the
  island's contexts − the fast 24-hour lives of Phuket and the slow-p
