DESCRIPTION:Jam is proud to present our newest solo exhibition from Th
 ai artist Cheerawit Jansomkhoy, better know by his online moniker, fuc
 x.bearx. Cheerawit's painting and illustrations are a celebration of t
 he human body in expressionistic forms, taking various cues from the e
 arly-20th-century art movement and incorporating them to portray body-
 positivity and sex-positivity. Much of his work depicts his subject’
 s bodies in large shapes and sizes, excesses of fat and in a multitude
  of skin tones, a stark contrast to the standards of beauty in full di
 splay in the large-scale advertisements around the city. The people in
  his drawings are also in full embrace of their sexuality, posing evoc
 atively with exposed genitalia while Cherawit maintains a playful sens
 e of humor with a muted color palette and a sketch-drawing aesthetic.\

 ething, asking me.\r\nBeing nude is not the same as being undressed, t
 hey are 2 different things.\r\nTo undress is too easy.\r\nMy work is a
 bout stories that happened in my life. Nude is a tool for making art. 
 Art is wonderful; it makes me think, sometimes not think; it has value

 rawit Jansomkhoy, works and lives in Bangkok, as a freelance artist an
 d messenger for a private company, having previously studied Art at Ki
 ng Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. Jansomkhoy's work is 
 influenced heavily by Gustave Courbet's, L'Origine du Monde (The Origi
 n of the World), as well as classic sculpture, art and popular culture
