 t is pleased to announce the representation of Indonesian contemporary
  artist, John Martono.\nA textile artist by training, John Martono's a
 pproach to his art is experimental and intuitive. Martono creates his 
 artwork using acrylic paint on silk fabric with free painterly manner.
  Restrained by the absorbency quality of the silk, Martono adopts a pr
 ocess to capitalize on silk's special quality. The work surface is lai
 d flat on the ground while Martono deploys colors in large area. With 
 his background in textile science and technique, Martono incorporates 
 embroidery onto his work to create textural effect to his abstract com
 positions.\nAbandoning all suggestions of figuration or illustration, 
 Martono creates artwork that is modern and mythical. The viewers are l
 ed by the power of colors to unlock their infinite emotion. The exhibi
