This 20-something artist whose first solo show was held in early 2014 at the Serindia Gallery in Bangkok will soon present her w ork in France where it will be exhibited in Paris at th\ne Galerie Jea n-François Cazeau from March 25 to April 25. This brilliant Thai art ist who was discovered by Thaillywood—the private artist residency s et up by Hugues and Marie Fontaine Taittinger—places the physical ac t of painting above figurative depiction. Sudaporn Teja creates works by applying, letting drip or projecting color on the canvas. Although her style may seem in keeping with lyrical abstraction or even abstrac t expressionism, she has not been influenced by those movements. Her w ork is approached with sincerity, reflecting her spirituality as she a ttempts to express her feelings about the landscape and the world surr ounding her.
