 ECHOES IN WOOD: Furniture and Sculpture Works by Nucharin Wangphongsaw
 asd\nRecently included in the Young Asia Awards panel at Tokyo Designe
 r Week 2013, Nucharin Wangphogsawasd (b. 1984) graduated Master of Fin
 e Arts from Rochester Institute of Technology in New York, trained esp
 ecially in fine woodworking and furniture design from its School of\nA
 merican Crafts. ECHOES IN WOOD draws from Wangphogsawasd's latest work
 s inspired by repetitive patterns in both nature and manmade objects. 
 Sharing the same artistic concept, each piece uses different woodworki
 ng techniques and experimentation that not only create a different typ
 e of progression of patterns, but also a variety of repetition, starti
 ng from small to large, short to long, and solid to transparent. The r
 esult is a series of inspiring works in dynamic and energetic forms, f
 unctional as furniture as well as tactile as sculpture. Wangphogsawasd
 's talent in fine woodworking and her aesthetics brings fresh air, mer
