 and Tantai Cheewasopit\r\n20/10/18 until 25/11/18\r\nOpening 20/10/18
 at 6pm until 10 pm\r\nat TARS Gallery\r\nCutis = From Latin cutis (
living skin”)\r\nThe vertebrate skin, including both of its layers,
the dermis and the epidermis.\r\n\r\nFor this new exhibition called \
"Cutis\", TARS Gallery invited two artists, Pokchat Worasub and Tantai
Cheewasopit, with new productions exclusive to this exhibition.\r\n\r
\nFOR THE FULL PRESS RELEASE, PLEASE CONTACT THE GALLERY.\r\n\r\n\r\nB
io :\r\n\r\nPOKCHAT WORASUB\r\nborn in 1986, lives and works in Bangko
k, Thailand. \r\nHer work pushes the notions of feminism and intimacy
with photography, through a voluntary amateurism found on the social
medias ( Instagram ), while trying to capture the uncontrolled, the na
tural pose and moments in between two pose.\r\nThese captured moments
reveal to us the fragility of her models in which they become \"object
s of desire\".\r\nCensored many times on the social media for not \"fi
tting\" virtual policies ( no nudity is allowed ), she keeps coming ba
ck over and over and to a point where she includes now a \"self-censor
ship\" to her work to fit to the rules.\r\n\r\nTANTAI CHEEWASOPIT\r\nb
orn in 1993, lives and works in Bangkok, Thailand.\r\nComing from Comm
unication design at Chulalongkorn, Tantai Cheewasopit try to find harm
ony with lines. Black lines.\r\nFrom a computer, to flesh/skin, throug
h the process of tattooing, mixing the organic from the medium used (
skin human/animal ) and their imperfections, with the mechanical ( tat
too machine ) and digital ( computer ), his works offers another dimen
sion of a traditional practice by pushing boundaries through figurativ
e and abstract compositions.\r\nHe is actually working at Maison Clos
e BKK and is in collaboration with the designer P.Tendercool and will
be part of the Bangkok Art Biennale with design collaborative project
s.\r\n\r\nFOR ANY INQUIRIES AND DETAILS, PLEASE CONTACT THE GALLERY.\r
