After over 30 years of absence from the art world, Kraisak Chirachaisakul, a master of mezzotint printmaking technique, returns with a new collection of prints depicting King Bhumibol and other royal members. This “accidental” return proves that he has never lost any artistic skills and abilities during the absent period. The new collection reveals uninterrupted continuity of his utmost meticulousness in every process of printmaking from twenty years ago. Every trace from his rocker still embodies incomparable intricacy, focus, and diligence.

For only a few years of his return into the art world, Chirachaisakul’s commitment to art resulted in a rapid development of his works, which were selected for several international exhibitions and received numerous awards, such as the Grand Prize from Canada’s 8th Biennale Internationale d’ Estampe Contemporaine de Trois-Rivières and the Excellence Prize from Japan’s Awagami International Miniature Print Exhibition in 2013. This solo exhibition will be another important step for the complete return of Kraisak Chirachaisakul.
