DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wondered why there are so many styles of let
 ters? What objective lies beneath these different typographic styles?\
 n\nAlliance Française de Bangkok together with the Goethe Institute, 
 Japan Foundation and Cadson Demak will hold the “Schrift in form Bis
 ” exhibition on at Alliance française’s library from August 19 to
  October 31. Admission is free.\n\nExplore various typographic styles 
 and their artistic variations through the “Schrift in form Bis” ex
 hibition that highlights more than 50 artworks from 8 countries worldw
 ide. The artworks will be randomly displayed and rotated every 2 weeks
 , which allows you to visit the show several times and still get to se
 e new artworks. Furthermore, there will be a multi-media presentation 
 showcasing the experimental work on typographic design.\n\nShown here 
 are new artworks created especially for the Bangkok International Typo
 graphic Symposium combined with work from the 2008 major type design e
 xhibition “Schrift in Form” at Klingspor Museum Offenbach, Germany
 .\n\nThe “Schrift in form Bis” exhibition will showcase a differen
 t view of letters in everyday life. These often overlooked characters 
 are highlighted by major graphic design and typography artists such as
  Tim Ahrens, Dan Reynolds and Edouardo Manso. ABC aficionados don’t 
 miss this!\n\nSchrift in Form Bis exhibition is part of Bangkok Intern
 ational Typographic Symposium (BITS MMX) with the aim to present the T
 hai design community the international, trends, current approaches and
  practices and to raise Thai Graphic Design standards to new levels. T
 his event will be held on 30 – 31 October 2010 at Alliance Français
 e.\n\nThe 2-day symposium will feature the exclusive talk shows by wor
 ld-famous typographers like Christian Schwartz (USA), Jean François P
 orchez (France), Hubert Jocham (Germany) and Masayoshi Kodaira (Japan)
  as well as top Thai designers.\n\nAdditionally, a typography workshop
  will be facilitated by renowned guest speakers to interested Arts stu
 dents (pursuing Arts courses at University level) or experienced desig
 n professionals.\n\nThe 2-Day symposium is being offered at THB 1,500 
 per ticket (THB 1,400 per ticket for confirmed bookings/ purchase by O
 ctober 1, 2010). The 2-Day Symposium cum workshop is being offered at 
 THB 2,000 (THB 1,900, inclusive of THB 1,400 for confirmed bookings/ p
